At the age of 23, Eric Stjerna, starts manufacturing of upholstery furnitures and a wholesale trade within upholstery material, furnishing fabrics, carpets and curtains.

Manufacturing of springs and spring units starts.

The business is divided into three different companies of which Stjernfjädrar (Starsprings) concentrate on the manufacturing of spring products.

1986
Launching of LFK spring units in Sweden by Stjernfjadrar (Starsprings). The production of sewn and clipped pocket spring units starts. Opening of the Vreta factory.

Introduction of ultrasound welded and glued pocket spring unit (beautyrest).
